20th September 2006 Windsurfing: Ynyslas Wind Direction: S Wind Stength: 20-35 knots Surf / Sea State: 3-4 foot surf Air Temperature: 20ºC Sea Temperature: 16ºC Weather: Sunny Max Speed: Distance Covered: Woohooo.... A proper, full on windsurf session at last... Autumn is here. Went out with my wave board and 4.5m sail. As it was southerly there were times when I was a little underpowered on the inside due to wind and an incredibly fast current being in the same direction, but once out the back I was well and truly stacked the whole time. Some of the gusts out there must have been in the 40 knots range. There were some pretty meaty waves out there too. Lots of nice big jumps, some mad flat out blasting on the way back in and the odd swim... Perfect. What's more there wasn't a soul on the beach but me, the sun was shining and after a couple of hours on the water all my kit and me are still in one piece! |
